The S.C. Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (SCIAAI) is proud to announce the 2021 1st quarterly training seminar. The program topics include: NFPA 921, 2021 Edition, Chapter 16, Section 16.2, Photography. The instructor, will be John Williams, who has over 31 years of law enforcement experience and retired from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Justice Academy Division as the Section Chief of Advanced and Specialized Training in March 2005. Immediately upon retiring, he opened John Williams Consulting, LLC, with a primary emphasis on providing training to law enforcement personnel. He served as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Tennessee’s National Forensic Academy for 11 years. John has been teaching law enforcement and forensic courses for over 38 years to local, state and federal officers. He travels the country extensively delivering training to law enforcement, specializing in forensic photography and other crime scene courses. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. He is a member in good standing of SCLEOA, IAI, and SCIAI.

            This training is scheduled for a minimum of 8 contact hours. Testing options will be discussed at the training event. Member attendance fee is Free and non-member attendance fee is $100. Lunch is on your own.  Pre-registration is required. Register online for this class at www.sciaai.org. The cutoff date for registration is Friday Monday, February 15, 2021. Non-member attendance must be pre-approved by the SCIAAI Board. Pending applicants pay “member fee” to attend.
